BEST MEMORY OF DELEHANTY HIGH
One thing that stands out was Mr. Riccio (sp?), who was our headmaster at that time, realizing his dream of being a major league umpire. The umps were out on strike and Mr. Riccio got to call a game at Shea Stadium. I'm not sure how many games he got to do but I remember seeing him on tv as the second base umpire.

Comments:
I realize that I was among the last graduates but I thought that our "younger" generation would have more of a presence -- you'd think we'd be more internet savvy.
Actually, I didn't graduate from Delehanty -- the school name was changed to Jamaica Prep for my senior year. I don't remember exactly why it happened, I seem to recall that the teachers bought shares in the school but that could be wrong. Does anyone know the real story?
