Grew up in the Village(what a wild place to grow up)! Travelled on the "E" train everyday to the big "D", 55minutes one-way,whew!I felt like I was traveling to the "country",ha! After graduation I attended NYCC, at night & worked during the day.I wanted to be a Bio-Chemist? However, I was drafted in Mar 66,(what a shock)! During that time I was dating my "highschool sweetheart), Joanie Volklandt, a beautiful person, (we started dating in Sophmore year). After that I spent 6 months in Fort Campbell, Ky. & trained with the 101st Airborne/Rangers. I shipped out to VietNam & spent 2 years in Combat! I was wounded twice in those 2 years and was discharged from active duty a year later. Needless to say I was really messed up physically & mentally, and went back to school & work. I became engaged to Joanie but that ended in a bad split-up(my fault). After I graduated college I went to work for the Government, Dept.of the Army and Dept of State. I spent over 20 years and retired in 1988. During those years I married and divorced, and now married again, I have one daughter who's just turned 21 yo & is graduating from NYU. I've moved 12 times and still looking for the right location,ha! I presently live on the Jersey Shore with my wife & daughter!

		BEST MEMORY OF DELEHANTY HIGH
		I really enjoyed my 4 years there! I had letters in the Glee Club, Drama Club, Track Team! The teachers were very cool, especially Ms Krest, wow! All the guys dug her! Mr. & Mrs Maloney were the coolest. Food fights in the cafeteria? In the glee club we traveled all over the city, entertaining people! The drama club with Mrs.Maloney was great!
Spouse:		Helaine Karp,(born in Jersey City) married in 1980,( we met in the Government)! She's work for AT&T & Lucent Tech. for 25 years, Director of Sales, foreign & domestic.
Children:		DANA, born 1982 in Staten Island, graduated Freehold H.S.,Freehold,NJ. Presently attending New York University, she's studying Intl Business Marketing/Sports Entertainment!

Pets:		ROCKY, a Cairn Terrier(or terror) I call him! He's 20lbs of dynimite!
Favorite Teacher:		Ms.Krest,Mr & Mrs. Maloney, Mr.O'Leary, just to name a few!
Favorite Song:		All the 50's & 60's DOOWAPS, all the Beach Boys music.
Favorite Movie:		PLATOON (was how it really was OVERTHERE)!
Favorite Destination(s):		EUROPE, THE FAR EAST!
Currently living in:		ON THE JERSEY SHORE, a half mile from the BEACH,"SURFS UP"!
Special Interests:		I teach photography, play in a blues band. SURFING,(been doing it for 30 years). Fishing, Boating, etc.
Comments:		Great, we've got our own SITE! I've moved around alot since 1964, first 2 tours in VietNam,(GOD,protected me), then 12 locations, NY & NJ! And I'm moving again! Don't know where? Probably in NJ, NYC is too expensive. Hope, we can have a reunion soon, I can't wait to see everyone! Sincerely, Manny G.
